美国海关边境局近日就电子签证更新系统的若干问题作出了答复Frequently Asked Questions on the Electronic Visa Update System (EVUS)。电子签证更新系统(EVUS)是对持有十年赴美商务/旅游(B-1/B-2,B-1,或B-2)类别签证的中国公民实行的安全在线系统。自2016年11月起,持相关签证的旅客在有效签证的基础上,还需要在EVUS系统进行登记注册,才能进入美国境内。 这项新要求是近期中美就十年旅游签证达成的互惠协议中的一部分。更多国家在不久也应该会出台类似规定。 中国公民(包括持有中华人民共和国护照来自台湾、香港、澳门的旅客)访问美国必须在线填写递交相关表格,支付注册费用,并输入基本个人信息。第三方也可以帮助旅客递交表格并支付费用,但旅客对信息的真实准确性需要负责。 这项新规定适用于目前持有签证,及新签证申请者在内的所有访美旅客,在今年十一月系统开始运行后,所有旅客都需要注册EVUS方可使用签证。注册后记录会在两年内有效;或有效期至旅客签证/护照过期日(以最早者为准);旅客需要在访问美国前更新EVUS系统信息。如果旅客未能遵守EVUS规定,旅行计划很有可能会被延迟。 在新系统运行前,获取更多信息请访问美国海关边境局网站www.cbp.gov/EVUS。
