On September 17, 2015, the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC), a Washington, D.C. non-profit organization that promotes consensus policy solutions on issues of national concern, hosted a panel discussion on the EB-5 immigrant investor program.  The discussion was led by BPC Governor’s Council members Jim Douglas, former Vermont governor, Mike Beebe, former Arkansas governor, and George Olsen, Co-Founder and Managing Principal of the New York City Regional Center.  Theresa Brown, the BPC’s Director of Immigration Policy moderated the discussion.  The panel discussion coincided with a report released by the BPC entitled EB-5 Program: Successes, Challenges, and Opportunities for States and Localities, which takes close look at the EB-5 program’s history and potential as an economic development tool.
